The counseling for the COMEDK 2017 will be conducted for various courses like Engineering, Architecture, MBBS and BDS for which the first round of allotment of seats may be held from 21st June, 2017 and the registration for the same will going to be started soon, once after the result of the entrance exam will be declared. The merit list of the candidates will be prepared on a provisional basis and is expected to be declared in the last week of August, 2017 and the final merit list will be issued in September, 2017 which is tentative. The latest details regarding the counseling are yet to be declared officially. The first round for allotment of seats under COMEDK is scheduled from 21st June, 2017.

Counseling Process-

The process of counseling involves various things like verification of documents of the candidates, registration of the candidates, which is further followed by Seat selection and allocation as well. It should be bring to the notice that unless the candidate is not registered, he/she cannot participate in the seat selection process. The allotment of seats will be done on the basis of ranks secured by the candidates in the entrance exam. Only one person is allowed to accompany the candidate for the entire process of COMEDK counseling.

Documents required for the counseling –

The candidates need to carry only the original certificates and one set of attested photocopies of all the documents at the time of counseling is being done. The documents are as-

  • Admit card of NEET 2017
  • Mark sheet or rank card of NEET
  • The photocopy of the online application form for participation in counseling
  • Certificate of Class 10th or school leaving certificate or any record which indicates the date of birth of the candidate
  • A copy of online application form of the entrance exam which was submitted to COMEDK
  • Mark sheet of class 12th
  • Category certificate of OBC or minority certificate which is issued by the specific authority which is applicable only for the candidates from Karnataka
  • Certificate of Domicile of the candidates and parents of the candidates who are from Karnataka
  • Certificate of Eligibility for claiming seats which are reserved for candidates from Hyderabad and Karnataka region
  • Photo Identification Proof which the candidates are required to carry which could be passport or voter id or driving license or bank passbook which is required to be attested by the bank manager or admit card of class 12th or aadhar card of the candidate

Counseling likely to go online

The COMEDK counseling procedure is likely to go online this year, therefore, the candidates do not have to travel to Bengaluru for the allotment of seats. According to the executive secretary of COMEDK, the students will be required to pay a fee of Rs.5000 before the option of the entry process and this would be later on considered to be the part of the fees of the first term.
